Ivi Sims is an IICRC Triple Master Restorer
and a widely recognized expert in timber and wood floor drying in Australia.
With over 25 years of experience in the restoration industry, including more
than 15 years specializing in wood floor drying and structural drying (Class
4), Ivi has become a respected authority in her field.
Over the past 18 years, Ivi has focused extensively on continuing education in
water damage restoration, both locally in Australia and internationally. She
holds advanced certifications through the Restoration Industry
Association (RIA), including the Water Loss Specialist
(WLS), Contents Loss Specialist (CLS), and
Certified Mold Professional (CMP). Her commitment to staying
at the forefront of the industry has seen her travel to the U.S. for
conferences and training on cutting-edge drying techniques.
Ivi is an active contributor to the development of restoration standards on
both local and international levels. She serves on committees for the
IICRC, including the S760 (Moisture
Inspection), S230 (Health & Safety for Cleaning and
Restoration), and Building Moisture Inspection (BMI).
Additionally, she plays a key role in the Australian Standards
Committee ME-094, focusing on mould and water restoration, and she
is a valued representative of the Australasian Timber Flooring
Association (ATFA).
